Two specimens, 565 and 715 mm total length (TL), of the dusky snake eel, Ophichthus cylindroideus, collected southwest of Santa Marta, Colombian Caribbean, were examined. This species was not reported by Acero and Garzón-Ferreira (1995), then it is was not listed in the Colombian marine fishes data bases. However, McCosker et al. (1989) did examine one specimen (USNM 94755, 622 mm TL) from Puerto Colombia. External morphological and morphometric data are compared, as well as some osteology features.Downloads
