In the subfossil, elevated coral reefs which form the Islas del Rosario, southwest of Cartagena (Colombia), 51 species of Gastropoda and 22 species of Pelecypoda were collected, all of them belonging to the recent Caribbean fauna. Even fragile shells could be obtained completely intact, which indicates the little age of these cliffs, as it has been estimated by two authors less than 10 000 years. An interesting species secured is Conus granulatus.Downloads
