Abstract

This work reports for the first time for the Colombian Caribbean the monogeneric family Chaetasteridae (Echinodermata: Asteroidea) based on a specimen of the starfish Chaetaster nodosus Perrier, 1875 collected off the San Bernardo islands at 98 m depth. A brief description of the species and information about its distribution is included.
