Abstract

A list of the 146 species of marine fishes collected or observed in February 1985 between Ensenada de Pinorroa and Ensenada de Sapzurro (Colombian Caribbean coast, Departamento del Chocó) is presented. A detailed analysis of nine species which are new records for the Colombian fish fauna is made; some of them are remarkable: Acyrtus rubiginosus, new report for the Southern Caribbean, and Anchoviella perfasciata, Parophidion schimidti and Elacatinus multifasciatum, new records for the northern coast of South America.
