Abstract

Ten species of Rhodophyceae hitherto not found on the Caribbean coastof Colombia are reported: Erythrocladia pinnata, Kallymenia westii, Gracilariaornata, Plocamium spec., Catenella impúdica, Champia compressa, Antithamnionantillanum, Callithamnion herveyi, Cottoniella filamentosa, Lophocladia trichocladosThe phytogeographicai in-wresting ocurrence of Plocamium spec, and Champiacompressa seems to be related to the upwelling off the shores of the Departamentosof Magdalena and Guajira.
